Central Coast “Coastal Twist” Festival; announces stellar headliner lineup.

The Central Coast of NSW Australia is about to explode in a dazzling kaleidoscope of colours and fabulousness as the third annual Coastal Twist Festival returns! Get ready for a weeklong extravaganza of glitter, glamour, and ground-breaking entertainment, kicking off on September 26th and culminating in a grand finale across the long weekend on October 2nd.

“Magic, Music, and Mayhem!” says Festival Creative Director Glitta Supernova, the mastermind behind this spectacular event. Brace yourselves for a tidal wave of LGBTQIA+ talent, both local and national, as Coastal Twist Festival cranks up the diversity and delivers non-stop excitement to the Central Coast.

From RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, we’re thrilled to welcome New Zealand’s side-splitting Drag Queen, Spankie Jackzon, who will reign as our fabulous hostess at the unforgettable Love Club Cabaret. That’s not all – the charismatic Hollywould Star, a favourite from this year’s RuPaul’s Season 3, is set to dazzle across the Cabaret, Dance Party, and Fair Day. And if that wasn’t enough, we’re turning up the heat with Australia’s party powerhouse, DJ Charlie Villas, plus burlesque sensations Jazida and Danny Golding who are set to titillate and tantalize. But wait, there’s more! International circus sensation Jess Love (La Soiree) will have you on the edge of your seat.

The festival isn’t just about jaw-dropping performances; it’s a smorgasbord of music, art, fashion, and pure entertainment. Get ready to groove to the tunes of Pop Icon, Kira Puru, whose track “Talk with Me” is rocking the charts, and Melbourne’s queer bubble-gum punk duo, Cry Club. Indi-Electronica artist Iya Yves from Canberra and Australian Idol finalist Jacey Fox are set to take the stage by storm.

“Inclusion Means You” is the mantra of this year’s Coastal Twist Festival. Embracing diversity and unity, the festival is more than just a celebration – it’s a call to come together, respect each other, and make the Central Coast a happier, healthier community. Festival Director Glitta Supernova shares, “In times as polarizing as these, Inclusion Means You encapsulates the ethos that everyone deserves to be heard, valued, and welcomed with respect.”

Overflowing with events, the festival’s heart beats in various Central Coast hubs, offering free and ticketed experiences suitable for all ages and abilities. This year, Coastal Twist is amping up its support for Rainbow youth, offering a Youth Dance PartyYouth Variety Show, and a dry event tailored to 18–26-year-olds. We’re even creating a safe space at Fair Day.

So, grab your glitter, throw on your dancing shoes, and get ready to experience the magic of Coastal Twist Festival. This year, we’re backed by the incredible support of local communities, corporate partners, health organizations, and the NSW Government through Create NSW. Together, we’re building a happier, healthier Central Coast that welcomes everyone with open arms.
