Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s one-two punch at Bill Cosby stole the night as far as tabloids were concerned... but hell to the yeah the girls rocked it once again in their hosting duties.

Their critique of the ridiculousness of award shows at the expense of George Clooney that are making headlines, the LGBT community had a surprisingly victorious night.

With PrideImitation GameTransparentThe Normal Heart, and Orange is the New Black, all up for awards this year, it was The Normal Heart and Transparent that took home the Golden Globe last night.

Openly gay actor Matt Bomer took home best supporting actor in a series, mini-series or TV movie for his role in The Normal Heart.

The big winner this year was Amazon’s groundbreaking TV series Transparent.

It won both Best TV Series–Comedy and Jeffrey Tambor won Best Actor—Comedy for his portrayal of a late-in-life coming out transgender woman. Tambor thanked the trans* community: “Thank you for your courage, thank you for your inspiration, thank you for your patience and thank you for letting us be a part of the change.”
