Lady GaGa Headline Tour in 2010 - Mardi Gras Appearance Too?

  • Published in Latest

Lady Gaga returns to Australia in March 2010 for a much-demanded headline tour - but will it coincide with next years Mardi Gras Party? Will Lady Gaga arrive early to support her gays and party with us on parade or party dates?

"The tour will feature a spectacular new 'arena' production and full band." Says the promoter, yet has been announced in smaller scale venues, like the Hordern Pavillion.

Following her spectacular performances with The Pussycat Dolls earlier this year, Gaga has been tearing up stages around the world.

During august she was one of the stars at both Japan’s Summersonic Festival and the UK’s V Festivals and will shortly be undertaking a co-headline U.S. tour with Kanye West.

2009 has been hailed the Year of Gaga as the enigmatic superstar broke records and topped charts around the globe.

Debut album The Fame reached the top ten in over 20 countries worldwide, with Australia the first to embrace the inexplicable Lady Gaga, clocking up triple platinum sales in just a few months as she placed five singles in the top 50 selling Australian singles of this year.

Lady Gaga’s debut boasts massive hits – the latest Paparazzi, and previous infectious ARIA #1’s Just Dance and Poker Face. Back home in the US, Lady Gaga became the first artist in nearly 10 years to reach the summit of the Billboard Hot 100 with her first two chart entries, and became only the third artist in the 16- year history of the Mainstream Top 40 airplay chart to collect three #1 songs from a debut album – Just Dance, Poker Face and LoveGame.

While Lady Gaga sets the charts alight, it’s on stage where her story truly comes to life. A shifting artscape of the past, present and future, a live performance by Lady Gaga leaves you wondering how music survived without her.

Lady Gaga floored those in attendance during her recent Australian tour.

Gaga will be the DO NOT MISS event of summer 2010.

Tour dates are:

Wednesday March 17: Sydney, Hordern Pavilion
Monday March 22: Canberra, AIS Arena
Tuesday March 23: Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena
Friday March 26: Brisbane, Entertainment Centre
Tuesday March 30: Adelaide, Entertainment Centre
Friday April 2: Perth, Challenge Stadium

Tickets on sale mid September - check back on for more info.

We expect upgrades of venues across the country and possibly more shows than P!NK - will she succeed? These dates are a couple of weeks AFTER mardi Gras in 2010, but one would hope she could come for a little holiday before hand and party with us!
