Moving Forward

So much has changed over the years in the community. Is it a case of me trying to hold on to something not worth holding onto anymore - That's the big question?

I am not sure of the future but not prepared to let go of the past. I feel people now just take it for granted that we will be here in the future but sadly this is not the case any more... I can finally say I've had enough of being the person that does everything! I'm just too old and sick of the politics and people just taking it for granted ! Recently I was told to take a long hard look in the mirror and I did and realised 'People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones' so some decisions have been made so we can move forward and keep Heaven running in 2017. All the dance dates have been locked in for 2017 – So fingers crossed to another successful year.
On a Brighter Note: A special thank you to everybody that attended Heaven's 9th Birthday & Haven Charity Night in July - helping us raise $1700 for the Western Suburbs Haven Inc. That means in the last  9 years in conjunction with kaleidoscope social dance we have raised over $25,073 FOR ACON & THE WESTERN SUBURBS HAVEN INC  - HOW FABULOUS - More Fabulous news....

I"M SO EXCITED We had 6 fabulous years at The NBC Sports Club, Northmead and I want to say a special thank you to everybody which has helped us raise over $17,210 at Heaven Social Dance and a special thank you to (Acon) for their help by sponsoring us this year.

With that said I'm proud to announce that we will be making a BIG MOVE next year to a New Club, for many different reasons, Renovations at the NBC, Function Hire and Rising costs of running Heaven are some of the main reasons why we are relocating to a new club in 2017.

We been very lucky to lock in dates for 2017 at Mounties Bowling Club - Fairfield on the first Saturday of every second month starting on February 4th 2017.

A special thank you to the Mounties Group & LayDee KinMee for their support and understanding throughout this process, as most people are aware a lot of things have changed and we need to keep up with the changes and we hope everyone will continue to support us at the new venue and help us provide a safe place for the LGBTQI community and for the local Drag Kings/Queens to have somewhere to perform with some exciting things planned for 2017...

PS: We still have two Social Dances left At The NBC Sports Club!

A big thank you to the staff and management At The NBC Sports Club for supporting us for the last 6 years.
