DESCRIPTION:WorldPride is a global Pride celebration that happens every few years in a different city. The right to host it is licenced by InterPride which has representatives from nearly every Pride organisation around the world. Previous WorldPride celebrations include New York in 2019 marking 50 years since the Stonewall uprising\, and Copenhagen in 2021 celebrating both WorldPride and the EuroGames. Sydney was chosen by InterPride members to be the host of WorldPride in 2023\, and we couldn’t be more proud.  \nSydney WorldPride events will take place from February 17 2023 until March 5 2023\, with the official Sydney WorldPride Opening Ceremony taking place on February 24\, a First Nations Gathering Space\, a game-changing Human Rights Conference\, an unforgettable Pride March across the Sydney Harbour Bridge\, a closing ceremony and a sensational party on Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach (plus lots more events still to be announced)! \nWe are developing a full arts and cultural program across Greater Sydney reflective of our diverse LGBTIQ+ communities. It will span theatre\, visual arts\, music and cabaret and have a strong focus on First Nations peoples and the Asia-Pacific. \nWe’ve taken the opportunity to bring WorldPride to the southern hemisphere for the first time – not only representing Australian states and territories\, but also bringing focus to our neighbouring countries in the Asia-Pacific region who do not all have the same level of equality and human rights that we do. \nSydney WorldPride will help shine a light on these injustices. Our Human Rights Conference will be a platform for discussion\, ideas exchange\, and thought leadership. We’re aiming to give marginalised communities solidarity and support on the world stage like never before. \nWe’re also committed to ensuring our festival is accessible to people of all abilities. Transport\, communications\, amenities and related services will be optimised for overall comfort and enjoyment of attendees. To utilise accessibility from anywhere in the world\, all possible digital avenues will be explored so that remote audiences can be a part of Sydney WorldPride online.

DESCRIPTION:DRAG’D OUT is a Queer\, inclusive Festival of the Arts. It celebrates all people within the LGBTQI+ Community and their allies. The Festivals diversity will bring together people from all walks of life as a positive platform and safe space\, enabling these cultures to explore themselves\, educate audiences and spread the love with entertainment. We have engaged a youth component throughout the Festival and our local schools will also be involved\, which is very important to us. \nThe inaugural event will be held over the weekend of the 18th\, 19th\, and 20th November 2022 in the picturesque township of Beechworth\, in Victoria’s High Country. \nSupporting local artists\, we’ve also invited some of Australia’s headline drag performers and DJ’s to provide a professional and spectacular three days of drop-dead diva Drag\, mixed with a fabulous pop of Disco darlings. \nThe Festival will kick off with a First Nations acknowledgment and smoking ceremony soon followed with a roving drag show across multiple venues throughout the township. DRAG’D ABOUT TOWN is your chance to meet the Divas up close and personal. Later\, culminating together for a spectacular finish at the HIGH CAMP STREET PARTY with extra Drag Shows and spectacular DJ’s. \nThe Saturday day component will be roving performances with super camp games such as drag bingo & trivia\, these events are free. Saturday Night will be a fabulous spectacular at the Memorial Hall with our headline event\, “WINE N DINE DIVAS” a cabaret-style Drag show including the infamous PRISCILLA TRIBUTE SHOW. DESCRIPTION:The Parramatta Pride Picnic is back in 2022!\n\nJoin us by the river in Parramatta on Saturday 22 October for the biggest pride festival in Western Sydney.\n\nParramatta Pride Picnic is organised by the Parramatta Queer Forum. \nPQF is a group consisting of  local residents and service providers seeking to build capacity\, increase visibility and run events for LGBTQIA+ people in the Parramatta local government area. \nThe PQF meets once every two months\, and delivers the annual Parramatta Pride Picnic – the largest LGBTQ pride picnic in Greater Western Sydney. \nEveryone who has an interest to improving the wellbeing of Parramatta’s LGBTQIA+ community is welcome to join. \nPhone: 02 9206 2114 \nEmail: gprendergast@acon.org.au if you would like to be involved in this year’s picnic.
