DESCRIPTION:DRAG’D OUT is a Queer\, inclusive Festival of the Arts. It celebrates all people within the LGBTQI+ Community and their allies. The Festivals diversity will bring together people from all walks of life as a positive platform and safe space\, enabling these cultures to explore themselves\, educate audiences and spread the love with entertainment. We have engaged a youth component throughout the Festival and our local schools will also be involved\, which is very important to us. \nThe inaugural event will be held over the weekend of the 18th\, 19th\, and 20th November 2022 in the picturesque township of Beechworth\, in Victoria’s High Country. \nSupporting local artists\, we’ve also invited some of Australia’s headline drag performers and DJ’s to provide a professional and spectacular three days of drop-dead diva Drag\, mixed with a fabulous pop of Disco darlings. \nThe Festival will kick off with a First Nations acknowledgment and smoking ceremony soon followed with a roving drag show across multiple venues throughout the township. DRAG’D ABOUT TOWN is your chance to meet the Divas up close and personal. Later\, culminating together for a spectacular finish at the HIGH CAMP STREET PARTY with extra Drag Shows and spectacular DJ’s. \nThe Saturday day component will be roving performances with super camp games such as drag bingo & trivia\, these events are free. Saturday Night will be a fabulous spectacular at the Memorial Hall with our headline event\, “WINE N DINE DIVAS” a cabaret-style Drag show including the infamous PRISCILLA TRIBUTE SHOW. There’s a limited amount of VIP packages up for grabs\, so don’t dally doll. \nSending the Saturday festivities into the star-studded night\, we finish with THE AFTER PARTY where we can disco down with internationally renowned DJ’s plus more show-stopping Drag. \nSunday is FROCK UP FAMILY Fair Day at the Police Paddocks from 10am – 5pm. Join us on the main stage for the big finish as our cast of Drag Divas provide family friendly entertainment\, there’s something here for everyone. We will have delicious food stalls\, face painting\, plenty of fabulous games & competitions\, live music\, DJ’S\, plus a gorgeous array of educational and health booths. We encourage all attendees to arrive fabulously frocked as there will be talent scouts roving for the best prize. The final schedule for Sunday’s event will be released closer to the date.
