The Ray will be First Superhero Show With A Gay Lead

  • TV

The CW’s DC Universe is getting a little bigger — and a little more diverse. Straight from the channel’s panel at the Television Critics Association summer tour, a new animated series for CW Seed has been revealed – and it will star the little-known DC comics hero Ray Terrill, better known as The Ray.

Help keep Bent TV on the box

Its a Melbourne institution, and our friends at BENT TV are holding their annual fundraiser at DT's Hotel, Richmond Victoria.

Bent TV is a Volunteer Non-Profit Community Television Production Company for the GLBTIQ Community which airs on Channel 31. Founded in 1993 when a group of people noticed there was a lack of, and an unrealistic, portrayal of GLBTIQ characters on television and in general, the wider media Bent TV was born as a not-for-profit community organisation and has continued to grow and impact on many parts of the Victorian GLBTI community.

The annual fundraiser is not an empty your pockets affair - just a gold coin donation will get you through the doors to be entertained by the likes of Camp Camp Revolution, Jade Leonard, Br00klyn Queenz and International Illusionist & Magician Ben Murphy.

Guest Speakers on the day also include Damian Stephens - Community Development Worker - (Shepp/Cobram/Seymour), Simba C. Kennedy - Ygender Melbourne and Gordon Wilson - Vintage Men / JOY 94.9

There'll be lots of great raffle prizes, light finger food and some very special guests. The crew from Bent TV will be recording the event along side Camp Camp Revolution as they film their latest music video which you're welcome to be a part of.

The BENT TV fundraiser is on Saturday Oct 29, 2-6pm at DT’s Hotel, 164 Church Street, Richmond.
