It has been reported that New Mardi Gras CEO, Anna McInerney has resigned.
After five years with NMG, McInerney decided to take on a new events role.
“It was an extremely difficult decision to reach,” she said to Sydney paper, Sydney Star Observer. “There is always the temptation to go for one more year. It is a role that I have loved and I’m immensely proud of the progress the organisation, its staff, volunteers and partners have made in the last few years.”
The organisation has already begun its search for a replacement, according to NMG co-chair Nick Parker.
“We would have loved to hold on to Anna,” he said, “however we have an ample window to recruit her successor and to effect a smooth transition.”
