Network Ten, announced live on The Circle this morning, that comedian and TV host Colin Lane will be taking over the role of host for this season’s Ready Steady Cook.
Fresh from the set of The Circle, where he has been filling in for Gorgi Coghlan during her maternity leave, Colin will begin filming in April, with his first episode going to air on Tuesday 14th June.
Replacing long term host and a friend to Guidetogay.com, Peter Everett. It will mean a new chapter in the funny and strange "cooking show".
Peter hosted over 600 episodes over a period of five years, and during this time used his celebrity to help GLBTI causes like the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation "Bake off" and many many charities, fundraisers and community events.
When asked about Peter's engagement with the show and his future, Executive Producer of Entertainment at Ten, Maria Michael said, “We wish Peter the best of luck with all his new adventures; he has been a great host over the years and has brought many new fans to the show. Colin is a wonderful addition to the Ready Steady Cook team, bringing a style and lightness to the show that is perfect for the year ahead.”
