OK, so its not as if we havn't seen Matty in his smalls before - but these are some fab shots for TRUNKS underwear. Gotta love them for supporting Matty too!

 

With a ritzy and somewhat(!) sexy advertising campaign - you can safely say, the packaging is the best bit about this product.

 

You can also say that - design by David Beckham, the underwear, really is by him, just for him.

 

Road tested on your "average" gay guy - it failed nearly all the tests of comfort for a brief.

 

The support and bands were the major let down, followed by the cut of the piece, not really giving you more than a ken doll style flimsy attempt at a "brief" it feels more like your wearing a tarzan style lap lap! There is no support for ones package and definitely no hugging elastic for your butt.

 

Even at a cheap price at H&M in NYC where we got ours, you really just paying for the package.

In a market swamped with "performance" pants, where you can buy additional crotch padding, butt enhancements and brand emblazoned waistbands, you can be forgiven for being "over" the underwear game all together.

I know that I have been sold undies on the pack shot alone, only to be disappointed by ill fitting, tacky and down right ugly briefs.

Equmen are world famous for compression style undergarments, so when we were sent the new underwear to review, I was a tad skeptical about this foray into the nether regions - who would want their junk compressed? right? lol

The micro polyester/nylon/spandex blend didn't scream comfortable either from reading the pack - but I don't know what the folks at Equmen have done - they have taken what seems like the worst idea in history and actually made it work!

Underwear that looks slick and clean, comfortable to wear, whilst enhancing your package without the need of any padding, and they breathe and keep you "cool" - outstanding! A nice hugging fit without being restrictive, the pants really tick all the boxes.

Its probably the Helix Mapping technology, or the moisture wicking features that tip this over the top - but they are well worth the $57 a pair.

With the final sunset of Summer now behind us, it’s time to pull out one of the funkiest fashions for the cooler months; the Ugg boot. Originally Australia’s guilty pleasure, Ugg boots have since been embraced by the world as… ahem, fashion forward! While Uggs initially took off amongst female celebs, stylish blokes like Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio & David Beckham are regularly spotted out & about sporting their sheepskin. However, when it comes to Uggs, there is a big difference between looking trendy or looking like you shouldn’t have left the house. Just because you see Justin Timberlake wearing Uggs in a tabloid doesn’t mean you can wear your daggy slippers down the street.

So when it comes to selecting the ultimate Uggs, there are a few factors to consider. Obviously comfort & warmth are major concerns, but now that Uggs are not just acceptable, but an enviable part of a Winter ensemble, there are several new points to consider.

In order to coordinate with your outfit, colour, texture & design are key. One brand very obviously leading the way is EMU Boots. With a range covering both men & women, & in a variety of lengths, their boots are funky & fierce. Probably the most masculine of their designs is the Outback Lo style, in Chocolate. Made from the finest Australian sheepskin, they are classic & work with a multitude of looks – tucked into jeans, teamed with cargo shorts, or thrown on with gym pants. Rather than cheaper synthetic material, the benefit of Sheepskin boots is that they naturally “wick” away moisture, meaning odorless footwear!

Durability is a worthwhile consideration, as Uggs now need to brave the outdoor elements. This particular boot boasts double stitched seams & arch support for solid strength & fit. These soles are outdoor all-terrain rubber, so they can easily withstand a day of pounding the pavement.

A genuine Aussie brand, Emu boots have been embraced by Hollywood with Kitson LA & Fred Segal among US stockists. Emu boots are constantly seen being worn by the likes of Tori Spelling, the cast of Gossip Girl, Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz & Kate Hudson. To seal the deal, Emu Boots received the official gay endorsement when Dannii Minogue twittered about how fabulous they were!

Andrew Christian underwear was a buzz brand that had a friend of mine chatting whilst we were out perusing the department stores a while ago, and  after the big sale from our friend, i really wanted to see if the hype and buzz was worth it "Oh their fabulous" he said… "you just have to get a pair" -- ok, so off to Andrew Christian's website is go.

A very little bit later, three pairs of the most interesting and fabulous underwear have landed on my desk… the more interesting thing is that they are all garments that "enhance" you in some way or another.

There is the SHOCK JOCK EXTREME - this one is the mother load of package enhancers… its kind of like shoulder pads for your knob. But if your lacking a bit, don't show, its really cold, or if you just want that "well rounded look", then why not? The undies themselves are so brilliantly manufactured and totally comfy - i would love to wear these even without the smooth sexy padding!

Then the next offering was a pair called "Show It" - and yes, it does exactly what it says it does. Pop your package in the built in little housing area, and it defines and lifts your meat and veg to its upmost enhancement. A clever idea and all done without giving away a thing, its cleverly designed into a trunk brief and the stitching, cut and waist band make it a totally comfortable ride - love this one to bits!

Now the kids at AC havnt forgotten about your rear either… they showcased us with a top little ditty. One for all you boys who love the jock strap vibe, but hate the bare ass element… its a bubble butt creator called "Almost Naked" with "flashback" technology… lightweight material, great stitching as with all the AC gear, and very very comfortable...

All in all these three "enhancement" offerings from Andrew Christian underwear are totally fabulous, not shoddy like so many other underwear brands and look as good as they feel. You will love them all.
