DIVA announces 2012 Awards date and calls for Hall Of Fame nominations

AVID Events, the organisers of the annual DIVA Awards have today announced the date of the 2012 Drag Industry Variety Awards aka DIVA.

The 22nd annual DIVA will be held on Monday October 29th in the Drag capital of Australia, and quite possibly the world, Sydney.

This year DIVA will once again present a glamorous night, staying true to our traditions by showcasing the best that Australia's drag has to offer, with a few special surprises along the way.

Further to this, the Board would like to call for nominations for DIVA's most prestigious accolade, The DIVA Hall of Fame. This award is given to a performer or community member who has had significant impact and/or long-term involvement in entertainment and the community. Nominations will also be accepted, in writing, on the night of DIVA Launch.

The 2012 DIVA season will launch at The Midnight Shift Video Bar on Monday 24th September, from 7pm. Venue, Poster, Hosts and other exciting details will be revealed on this night. Everyone is welcome.
