Mardi Gras Terrorist Threat Preacher Out On Bail
Category: Latest Written by GTG
The Islamic preacher who allegedly threatened a terrorist attack against the Mardi Gras parade via social networks, has been granted bail by a Sydney court. Ibrahim Siddiq-Conlon is accused of making the terrorist threat against the parade earlier this year on the Facebook page of Austereo’s Kyle and Jackie O Show.
He is also facing two unrelated child pornography charges after police allegedly found child abuse material on his laptop.
Justice Geoff Bellew of the NSW Supreme court banned Siddiq-Conlon from using the internet or a phone with internet access. The court also imposed a night curfew and daily police reporting conditions including a ban from obtaining a new passport or entering any international point of departure.
