A long-awaited permanent exhibition featuring nearly 300 costumes, puppets, scripts and sketches from cartoonist and puppeteer Jim Henson's career in film and television will open at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, on July 22.
Henson is known for the adorable puppets from his perennially popular television show The Muppets, as well as for his work on the children's show Sesame Street and the films The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.
