OMG there is a lot of bitching, backstabbing, jealousy and fighting for peoples attention at any cost !! I will leave it up to you guys to fill in the blank‘s I don’t want any more drama this month friends then not friends then friends it’s all just too hard to keep up with the well-known puss in Western Sydney being shipped back to the pound to have some training on how to behave and how to be politically correct and how to stop spraying as cats do. Let’s see if we hear from him in the new year. in other news Western Sydney drag queen flys out of Sydney to Korea is it for some cosmetic surgery maybe lap band surgery or is it a case of she need some time out she's a celebrity & she's overworked get her out of  Sydney in other than gossip which Western Sydney (drag) queen will now give the fabulous Laydee Kinmee a run for her money with her recent yodelling performance at heaven as LayDee is very well known as the only yodelling drag queen in Sydney looks like there’s now two of them = FASTER lol

DRAG GOSSIP

Which former drag queen was once known as a rose, but now a bitch. Living up to her new and much more socially accurate name, has she gone way too far? After several cat fights, and then threatening to kill her fellow contestants in the group chat of a Western Sydney Talent Quest. Is this the case of a poor victims social media account been hacked, or is she the perpetrator? Will she bloom into a fresh new rose, or rot into a sour old bitch. Only time will tell. I told you it's all happening out west .. WoW, are you ready for more? Which Western Sydney Drag Queen has quit a multi award winning drag show after 2 years for the second time. First time due to a lack of bookings, and now due to her pursuing more financially stable drag and makeup work. With so many cast members coming and going, mirror mirror on the wall, what will the future hold? Thank god I have a full time job and don't have to worry about things like this anymore. Will she now learn the difference between work collages and friends? Will her former work collages continue to be her friend? Sometimes it can get hard to distinguish the difference between work collages and friends.. Also The Drag Industry Variety Awards will not be on this year in October. But sources tell me it may be on in December due to a lack of money in the bank.. More info to come in next month column on 12Oct ..
Until next time stay gorgeous :

I'M SO EXCITED

We had 4 fabulous dance's  at Mounties Bowling Club,  and I want to say a special thank you to everybody which has helped us raise over $29,000 at Heaven Social Dance for The Haven and Acon . EQUALITY = Now that the same-sex marriage plebiscite has been defeated, it all comes down to a non-compulsory postal vote. Ballot papers are expected to be sent from September 12 and voters will have until November 7 to send back their votes. A result will be declared on November 15. Unlike with regular voting, you are not legally required to vote unless you want to. To make sure your opinion on the matter is heard, it's important that you're properly registered. Now's the time to check that you're enrolled to vote and your details are up to date. If you're 17 with an upcoming birthday, you can enrol now and be eligible to vote. Appropriate proof of identity is necessary (such as a passport or driver's license).... www.aec.gov.au/enrol

WOW somebody nominated me for " Australian LGBT Awards " A big thank you to whoever nominated me , Now I have to just write about myself is it possible to do 300 to 500 words how do I fit it all ln lol ...  Last year they launched the Australian LGBTI Awards at the Sydney Opera House with over 300 guests attending the GALA dinner and many high profile individuals showing their support and receiving acknowledgment through their work within the LGBTI space. The Awards are also labelled "The Gay Oscars" with red carpet appearance by The Veronika's, Lucy Lawless, Molly Meldrum, Samuel Johnson, Danielle Cormack and many more . The main agenda of the event is to work with our Allies in the Corporate world and the entertainment industry to have our message of equality endorsed and to reach a wider audience to achieve acceptance . The media personalities attract main stream press attention which not only helps in our quest for equality but provides businesses and corporation a platform to align their brand with the message of equality. The process is as follows: Nominations: are open now to the public. We are receiving thousands of nominations across our 16 categories as we speak . The nominations are public and at this stage we simply let organisations and Nominees know about that they have been nominated. The Nominee can decline or accept the nomination - if accepting we require a 500 word synopsis on the company including and highlighting any work that has been done on LGBTI inclusion . Once all Profiles been received - we will create a shortlist (The Top 10) based on numbers of nominations received and the profile submission received . The shortlist will then be announced beginning of October - and public voting will start - with the winner announced at the GALA dinner - Friday 2nd March 2018 . www.australianlgbtiawards.com.au

A quick reminder most social events are not-for-profit organizations which organize social events in the community to provide a safe place for the GLBTI community, to socialize and raise a little bit of money along the way for great organizations in the gay community.  So if you have the opportunity get out and check out social events like : Heaven Social Dance , The Polly’s Club , Unity Wollongong  & The Three Sisters Social Group in Blue Mountains ... Because they might just become a  memory like all the other fabulous nights that have come and gone in our community. so people need to make more of an effort .

And we must not forget the venues that support the LGBTQ  Community in western Sydney put on nights like trivia and bingo and provide fabulous free live entertainment there is something for everyone to do in western Sydney

FIFTY: THE ULTIMATE F-WORD!

So Mardi Gras has come and gone…  after 16 times marching in the parade, I made the decision, after well-made plans backfired on me (and being the lazy old Queen I am) to finally front up to the parade and party as… you guessed it – a boy!

I decided for the third time in 25 years of being a drag queen that enough was enough. Was I scared? You bet. But boy was I mistaken. I have mixed feelings about Mardi Gras as I didn't see much of the parade because I avoided the rain lol .. Then off to the party I went. The Veronica's were pretty good but the rest of the entertainment was a little average and what happened to the two girls that was supposed to perform ?? I ended up leaving at 4am  and was in bed by 6,that's an early night! Maybe it's a case of me just being a little bit old and my legs started to kill me and let's not talk about Lola and Danger's feet so glad i did not walk in the parade. I actually enjoyed myself a little bit more just as a boy. Over 10,000 performers took part in the parade to help celebrate 39 years of Mardi Gras…the best night ever at a MG party... I hope you all had a blast too!

This month I celebrate 25 years of doing drag, meaning I'm “technically” 50 years young! OMG it's my birthday  - the big five 0  in March = ''YUCK"… That means i will reduce my responsibilities and push it onto my drag daughters and other high-profile queens in the community.

Oh how time flies! In this time I've seen so many venues come and go, we've lost many in Western Sydney as well as the City. Even knowing what goes into a social night – I couldn’t imagine running a full time venue – but many have tried and I congratulate them. Our increasing patronage at the HEAVEN SOCIAL DANCE  in Western Sydney means we made the right decision to move to a new club with the first dance in February being a huge success. I am really looking forward to the second dance on the 1st April at Mounties Bowling Club Fairfield from 6:30pm - 12:30 , Entry $10 , Shows 9:30 & 10:30 With PopUp Drag Upsize  Hosted By LayDee KinMee ,  If you want to take part in our pop-up drag  – please register with LayDee, before April So you can be in the run for cash prizes (Valued $200).  For more information go to our website (Click on What's On)  www.heavensocialdance.com

Newsflash !!  V-Bar  at the Coolibah Hotel,  Merrylands. Brought to by Victoria A Bitch '' CANCELLED ''  after its very first dance on 20 January. The announcement was made two days before the second dance in February by co-ordinator Victoria A Bitch as post: (Due to very little interest in v bar a verdict has been made and will be closing its doors in February . It was one of the hardest things to do. But firstly i must find myself again and i am shattered and in tears whilst i write this)  ... It's very sad to hear that you've given up after only one dance, but I hope you find yourself ok gorgeous. When we first started Heaven Social Dance for the first year we were only getting 60  people and you need to get performers which will do it for a few dances for nothing and then pay them when you get busier but I totally understand where you're coming from there is a lot of stress involved and a lot of costs going to running an event like this we are so lucky that we have the support of our venue that do not charge us room Hire, we only have the cost of Dj & a small entertainment budget. Maybe someone else might step up and take over running it because I really believe two nights in Western Sydney would work.. but in saying that I Want to wish you all the best in the future with whatever you choose to do that makes you happy :Bx

Thank you also to Ophelia Shaft (DJ), Cliff  (Door and Lighting), Rob from EGOmedia - Au  (Photos and Backdrop)  George  (Videos) and  Ann-Marie (SSO)

Thank you to everyone who came and made it a fantastic night.  We look forward to seeing everyone again on 1st April.  Thank you all and we love you.  Love from Beverly , Greg  and Ian .

Again thank you to all the patrons and bar staff. It was great to see so many people. www.heavensocialdance.com

I'm starting to get excited coming up this weekend Saturday 11th February is The Polly's Club Mardi Gras Dance Will Present '' Friends Of  Dorothy '' At The Marrickville Town Hall From 7pm-12am Entry $25 the show is produced by Daisy with the Polly's cast, Prize for best dressed PS be there early otherwise you'll be standing up .. www.thepollysclub.com.au

Also in February the NEW V-Bar Social Dance at Coolibah Hotel Merrylands with the night providing something for everybody  V-Bar upstairs and Karaoke downstairs.  People now have something to do on a Friday night the next dance is 17th February from 7pm-12am $10  Music by Dj Shaft with a Madonna Tribute show with Melicious Dámage , Delilah VonTramp & Victoria A Bitch ... fingers crossed people will supported it on a Friday night because they did not support the LGBTQ event there Friday night might be a winner ?? Remember in 2014 people said two social dances in western Sydney was  '' TOO MUCH ''  so we reduced heaven to 6… but after last weekend’s huge success for the heaven at new club, maybe people want more ,more, more ??? Only  time will only tell gorgeous.

The fabulousity which is Fair Day Sunday 19th February , started as soon as we exited the car and were approached by a young man  who offered us a "service" in the laneway in glebe last year ..  considering it was the second time in 18 years that I have attended Fair Day as a boy and I still nearly got lucky, he made me feel like a dirty old man so we ran off to Victoria Park to join in the festivities... But this year fair day is on the move to a NEW LOCATION = Camperdown Memorial Rest Park , Newtown..  Fair Day will an eye opener this year as I will be just one of thousands check out the new park! Just one of thousands the people sitting on a blanket in front of the main stage.  It's a sign that I really am a nobody, nobody will recognised me or will they after being plastered all over the Liverpool & Fairfield Champion (the local paper) in and out of DRAG !! OMG !!

When Fair Day is over you know the Parade is soon to follow on 04 March . After walking and working the parade for  17 years,  this year be any different lol  As last year I watched the parade and enjoyed it so much now I'm getting older, it seems the route gets longer... despite offers to be part of a float, this will be the second year in a row that I will be watching the parade from VIP Area and dashing off  to the party with my partner in crime.  I just had too much fun last year at the Party out of drag.  I'd like to see more floats and social groups from the West be involved, it seems everyone splits into other groups at Mardi Gras time when it should be a time that we unite?

It looks like its going to be an interesting year in Western Sydney.

NEWSFLASH!

89.3Fm 2GLF is the local non-profit community broadcaster for the Liverpool and Fairfield region. Our programming covers all aspects of the community with local information, ethnic programming, specialist music and local event coverage. The station is run and managed by volunteers from the local area. By now you know that we have put Queer Out West to rest on 2 November I spat the dummy and cancelled the program for many different reasons? After Guide To Gay and the gay newspaper, SX, ran a story on the program I was inundated with feedback in regards to the need to continue with the program so I met with some of the presenters and ask them what they like to continue doing the program in a different format as I (Beverly) did not want to return to the studio weekly after doing the program for 15 years I feel new people need to step up.

So former Out West & Proud 89.3Fm and Queer TV Presenter  Pandora Box & Kitty Puss have agreed to come in fortnightly so I can have some time out.

Also Nikki Facchin and Jeremy Smith and Fifi Fo'Fum will return The NEW program Will be QUEER RADIO SYDNEY as from 16 January 10pm-12am On the Radio & Online www.893fm.com.au

The second and fourth Monday of the month will be Pandora Box, Fifi Fo'Fum & Kitty Puss.

The fifth Monday = 29May, 31Jul, 30Oct 2017 will be just a music program with a special guest (LGBTI) Dj in the studio.

I look forward to hearing your feedback in regards to the new program which will mainly focus on supporting LGBTI singer/songwriter's Gay music with a little community info special guest interviews and a lot of fun along the way.

We will also be do a LIVE chat during the program every Monday night from 10pm-12am on www.facebook.com/groups/queerradiosydney

Not very often my GOSSIP comes true.

But this time it has with Palms West Social Dance calling it a day after 6 social dances they have decided to walk away after discovering you can't please everybody.

Two events in 2016 were still able to write a $1500 cheque for Twenty10 so that was pretty fabulous... don't you think?! but don't despair out with the old and in with the new?

The new you say???

There is a brand-new nights starting on Friday nights to replace the gap left by Palms it will be run by one of Western Sydney's baby drag /up-and-coming drag queen Victoria A Bitch.

The night will be call V-BAR at the Coolibah hotel, Merrylands from 20th Jan, 17Fab & 17Mar to start with from 7pm-12am $10 Shows 9:30 & 10:30pm with Dj Jay Cee, Fingers crossed it lasted longer than PWSD did at the Coolibah So come on Western Sydney you need get out and support the social events.

Also in other news...

After 7 years at the same club (OMFG) Heaven Social Dance make the big move to a NEW Club on 4th February @ Mounties Bowling Club, (5Minute Walk From Fairfield Train Station) from 6:30pm -12:30am $10 Shows 9:30 & 10:30pm Hosted By LayDee KinMee with PopUp Drag Upsized = Prizes 1st $100, 2nd $60, 3rd $40 who will take home the CASH with 4 fabulous performance lock in of the opening night.

Looks to be a big one so come and check it out new club we have the whole club to our self to party in.

We at  heaven look forward to celebrating 10 year this year supporting LGBTQ Community and hopefully  we can break our record of donations over $30,000 in 2017 with your support.  www.heavensocialdance.com

DRAG GOSSIP:

K is for Karma what goes around comes around, remember that Girls and Boys not mentioning any names  it has happened to all of us in the past. I could also say people in Glass Houses shouldn't throw stones. Being a bully and a hypocrite and spreading rumours does not make you popular...

Until next time gorgeous! Luv BB
