f you’ve stepped foot on the dancefloor over the last couple of years, then you’re sure to be well acquainted with the name Zoë Badwi by now.
The Melbourne-born dance/pop diva burst on to the scene in late 2008 with the huge club smash Release Me which became without doubt THE club record of the summer dominating the #1 spot on the ARIA Club Chart for 12 weeks. The record scored Zoë her first ARIA Award Nomination for BEST DANCE RELEASE and an array of fans and supporters from around the globe including Swedish House Mafia member Axwell, the Freemasons, Erick Morillo and BBC Radio 1's Judge Jules who have all sung it praises.
Throughout 2009, the magic continued as her collaboration with TV ROCK In The Moment blitzed the Top 10 of the ARIA Club Chart and firmly cemented her as a major talent within the industry.
In 2010, Zoë hit us with the anthemic Freefallin’ - proving to be her finest moment thus far. The track stormed its way into the top 10 ARIA Singles and Airplay Charts in addition to topping the ARIA Club and iTunes Dance Charts. The record has since gone on to achieve platinum sales accreditation, has clocked up over 1 million video views on YouTube and recently scooped a prestigious APRA Award in the DANCE RELEASE OF THE YEAR category. Freefallin’ also grabbed the attention of top labels around the World including the prolific Atlantic Records in the US, Warner Music UK and Sony Music France who all raced to sign Zoë to their rosters.
Early 2011 saw the release of the infectious, top 20 ARIA single Accidents Happen, closely followed by Zoë’s current single Carry Me Home which is poised to build on the success of her last 4 releases. On August 5th, Zoë will release her highly anticipated self-titled album Zoë.
