The 9/11 Memorial was dedicated on September 11, 2011 in a special ceremony for victims’ families. The Memorial opened  to the public on September 12, 2011 with the reservation of a visitor pass.

The 9/11 Memorial is located at the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. Visitors can access the Memorial by presenting a visitor pass at the 9/11 Memorial Entry at the northwest corner of Albany and Greenwich Streets. Get your pass here.

We strongly recommend the use of public transportation to access lower Manhattan.



By Subway:

• A, C, J, Z, 2, 3, 4, or 5 trains to Fulton Street: exit onto Fulton St. and walk west to Church St. Walk south and turn right on Thames St.
• 2 or 3 trains to Park Place: exit onto Church St. Walk south and turn right on Thames St.
• E train to World Trade Center: exit onto Church St. Walk south and turn right on Thames St.
• R train to Rector Street: exit onto Trinity Pl. Walk north and turn left on Thames St.
• R train to Cortlandt Street: exit onto Church St. Walk south and turn right on Thames St.
• 1 train to Rector Street: exit onto Greenwich St. Walk north and turn left on Albany St.

 

By Bus:
• M5 Southbound: get off at Broadway and Thames St. Walk west on Thames St.
• M5 Northbound: get off at Trinity Pl. and Rector St. Walk north and turn left on Thames St.
• M20 Southbound: get off on South End Avenue between Liberty St. and Albany St. Walk south and turn left to Albany St. Continue across West St. and then turn left.
• M22 Southbound: get off on Vesey St. between North End Ave. and West St. Walk south through World Financial Center to Albany Street. Turn left on Albany St. Continue across West St. and then turn left.

 

By PATH:
The PATH train serves the World Trade Center terminal from multiple points in New Jersey. If traveling by car from New Jersey or other points west, the Harrison PATH station is a convenient location to park in an adjacent parking facility and take PATH to the World Trade Center.

By Ferry:
Ferry service is available from Midtown Manhattan, New Jersey, Queens, and Staten Island.

By Car:
Lower Manhattan is difficult to navigate by car, and on-street parking is extremely limited. The Memorial does not provide parking. If traveling by car from New Jersey or other points west, the Harrison PATH station is a convenient location to park in an adjacent parking facility and take PATH to the World Trade Center.
